ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
Are you a person passionate about working with kids and ready to have impact on the tech future of Armenia?
We have recently launched an awesome project in Armenia - CoderDojo, which is a global movement of free, volunteer-led, community-based programming clubs for young people. Within the spread across the world Dojo clubs young people aged 7-14 learn coding skills and explore technology in an informal, creative and social environment.
CoderDojo encourages children to express themselves through project based learning. With CoderDojo club in Armenia, we're joining the 1900+ clubs in the world.
Our first club was opened in Yerevan in October 2018. We're now calling for mentors who can be available for teaching kids with a free and comfortable schedule fitting their work and life routine.
Why join CoderDojo as a mentor? You will get the chance to:
Internship duration is 3 months, and by completion the interns will receive a certificate.
Please note that this is a VOLUNTARY commitment and mentors DO NOT get paid for any session.
WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO DO:
Mentors will have to attend 2 sessions each week the duration of which is 2-2.5 hours. Mentors will not teach kids programming in the old sense of the word, but rather accompany and guide them through the wonderful world of coding. CoderDojo will provide all the required learning materials to get started.
