DATA SCIENTIST

Develandoo is seeking Data Scientist

Responsibilities:

• Further enhancement of our algorithmic processing pipeline for inbound requests, applying state of the art algorithms or devising new ones where appropriate;
• Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques;
• Data mining using state-of-the-art methods;
• Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems;
• Processing, cleaning and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis.

Requirements:

• Good understanding of statistical learning theory;
• Excellent knowledge of Python is required, knowledge of Matlab is a big plus;
• First professional experience and understanding of the practical challenges is a plus;
• Hands-on engineering attitude to building prototypes and testing hypotheses;
• Curiosity to learn new tools and technologies as the need arises;
• A good overview of current NLP approaches would be a plus;
• Experience in (or a willingness to get to grips with) database integration and analysis tools, such as Hadoop, SQL and SAS.
