    Sales and Operations Assistant

    ABOUT THE POSITION

    The role of the Sales and Operations Assistant involves rate and service negotiations with service providers, organizing airfreight shipments, handling invoicing etc. The suitable candidate will be a highly organized team player who thrives under pressure to deliver quality service to our clients. Computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office software as well as advanced knowledge of English is essential.

    • Job Type: Full-Time (Mon Fri)
    • Working hours: 11:00 am - 20:00
    • Job Status: Temporary 6 month contract

     

    Job responsibilities

    • Working within a team to process RFQ and tender requests through a current and third-party supplier
    • Identifying the best routes and rates available and communicating back through to customers
    • Customer Credit checking
    • Liaising between Sales and Operations teams on potential and booked shipments to ensure a smoothhandover between rates and Operations
    • Organizing Airfreight export shipments
    • Invoicing
    • Maintaining and managing current KPI’s through monthly reporting procedures
    • Rate and service negotiations with service providers to ensure the best routing/rating options

     

    Required qualifications

    • Excellent English language skills - oral & and written
    • German language skills - oral & and written is desired
    • Excellent and effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
    • Strong customer service orientation and excellent work ethic
    • Ability to quickly process information and make decisions with meticulous attention todetails
