    Sales Assistant for MW Norway Office

    Maurice Ward Group is a Supply Chain Management organization founded in 1968 in Dublin, Ireland. Currently, we operate 50 owned offices in 28 European countries.

    About the Position

    Are you detail-oriented problem solver with a passion for cutomer service? Join our dinamic team as a Sales Assistant and play a key role in shaping the global movement of goods! In this position, you'll be the bridge between our overseas network of agents and our sales team, ensuring seamless operations and delivering top-notch service to our clients.

    From negotiating the best rates and routes to managing customer requests and ensuring smooth handovers, you'll be at the heart of our sales & operations. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love working with numbers, and enjoy building strong relationships with cutomers and colleagues alike, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

    • Job Type: Full Time (Mon-Fri)
    • Working hours: 11:00-20:00 (includes 1 hour lunch break)
    • Job Status: Permanent 3-month probation period 

     

    Job responsibilities

    • Negotiate and Optimize: Work with service providers to secure the best rates and routing options for freight shipments across Europe and globally.
    • Customer-Centric Solutions: Identify the most efficient routes and rates, and communicate these clearly to our customers.
    • Handle Quotation and Tender Request: Process requests for quotes and tenders using both in-house systems and third-party suppliers.
    • Collaborate with Operation: Partner with the operation team to ensure smooth handovers and flawless execution of shipments.
    • Drive Performance: Maintain and manage KPIs (key performance indicators) through monthly reporting to ensure continuous improvement.

     

    Required qualifications

    • Excellent English language skills - oral & and written
    • Excellent and effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
    • Strong customer service orientation and excellent work ethic
    • Ability to quickly process information and make decisions with meticulous attention to details
    • A team player with a high sense of responsibility
