    Air Freight Operator for MW Netherlands office

    Maurice Ward Group is a Supply Chain Management organization founded in 1968 in Dublin, Ireland. Currently, we operate 50 owned offices in 28 European countries.

    ABOUT THE POSITION

    Are you a detail-oriented, responsible, and hard-working professional looking to grow in the dynamic world of air freight? We’re looking for an Air Freight Operator to join our Netherlands office! In this role, you’ll play a key part in processing shipments across Europe and beyond, ensuring smooth logistics and top-tier service for our clients.

    • Job Type: Full-Time (Mon Fri)
    • Working hours: 11:00 am. – 20:00 (with a one-hour lunch break)
    • Job Status: Permanent 3-month probation period

     

    Job responsibilities

    • Handle Quotation and Tender Request: Handle requests for quotes and tenders from both current and third-party suppliers.
    • Route & Rate Optimization: Identify the best shipping routes and rates, ensuring customers are always informed.
    • Credit Checks: Conduct customer credit checks to ensure secure transactions.
    • Transport Documentation: Issue accurate transport documents in both our system and carrier systems.
    • Sales & Operations Coordination: Work closely with Sales teams to guarantee seamless shipment handovers.
    • Air Freight Management: Organize and manage air import and export shipments efficiently.
    • Invoicing & Billing: Process invoices with precision, ensuring accurate billing.
    • Performance Tracking: Monitor and manage KPIs through monthly reports to drive continuous improvement.
    • Service Provider Negotiation: Work with providers to secure the best rates and routing options for freight shipments.

     

    Required qualifications

    • Excellent English language skills - oral & and written
    • Excellent and effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
    • Strong customer service orientation and excellent work ethic
    • Ability to quickly process information and make decisions with meticulous attention to details
    • A team player with a high sense of responsibility
